Uhlakaniphile uNkulunkulu, wanquma ukuthi amandla nezibeletho zobuntu ezazikhona ngaphakathi kubantu, njengembewu, zizovela ngesithelo esenqatshelwe, ukuze abantu babe ngabaphathi bomhlaba. Kodwa ubulungiswa bukaNkulunkulu nabo babufuna ukuthi abantu, ngentando yabo, bazitholele imvume yokuhlala emhlabeni, indawo yobunzima, esuka ezulwini.
– Lo mthetho ungase ubonise ukuthi ipharadesi akulona indawo yokuzalana, nokuthi uma lo mthetho ukhona kulelo zithelo, khona-ke uqukethe izimfihlo ezisiza ekuveleni kwemizwa yobuntu, okuhlanganisa nezifiso zocansi, kanye nesidingo sokuhlala emhlabeni, okuyindawo efanele yokuqhubeka komndeni wesintu.
U-Adam no-Eva, ngaphambi kokudla isithelo somuthi, babesengcwele njengezingelosi, bengakaze bazizwele lutho olubi. Ngemva kokudla isithelo, kwavela isimo sokuzizwa esidingekayo ukuze umndeni wesintu uqhubeke, ngakho-ke baqala ukubheka omunye nomunye ngendlela ehlukile. Lokhu kubheka ngendlela ehlukile kwaphakamisa umuzwa wehlazo njengengubo engokomoya. Ngempela, wonke umuntu esengane, usesimweni esimsulwa, akakwazi ukubona isimo sobulili obuhlukile. Uma ekhula kancane kancane, uqala ukubona kokubili ubuyena kanye nokukhanga kobulili obuhlukile.
